Well, February is here....

The month of my birth, always cold and miserable. The anticipation and fun of Christmas and New Year are now a distant memory and it seems like forever until the warmth of summer sun will reappear.

Most people herald this time of year in gardening terms by celebrating the arrival of snowdrops, of course very beautiful, nestling in the early morning frosts.

However, what cheers me the most this month is the appearance of one of the first irises- Iris Reticulata.

This little beauty is the first to pop it's head out in our garden and has brought me much delight this week, hopefully soon to be joined by many of it's 'soil-mates'!

Enjoy....
